Irish rock band Kodaline have just dropped a brand new video – a tour guide to their hometown and favourite city in the world, Dublin. The video is part of a series called ‘Real Guides’ by Tourism Ireland and Vevo, which will see current music acts take viewers on a whistle-stop tour around some of the most holiday-worthy spots in Ireland.

Kodaline – the four piece band hailing from Swords in Dublin, who now boast two top 5 albums - are first to publish a ‘Real Guide’, designed to get Brits visiting Dublin in their droves this Autumn.

Born and bred in the city, Dublin runs in the blood of Kodaline and the Real Guides video acts as the insider’s guide to one of the most famous cities in the world. The video sees Steve, Vinny, Jason and Mark showcase both old and new Dublin – from the Hairy Lemon pub, where the band like to enjoy a proper Guinness, to the hustle and bustle of George’s Street Arcade.

Taking viewers ‘off the beaten track’, introducing them to some of the best characters in the city as well as Dublin’s lesser-known attractions, Kodaline’s Real Guide to Dublin covers off where to eat, rendezvous, party and sleep in the city and much, much more. Kodaline fans will even get to go down memory lane and see where the band performed their very first gig!

Kodaline commented: “Growing up in Swords was amazing. Dublin is everything to us, it's who we are and where we come from, it’s in us! We travel a lot so what we always miss about Dublin is the people and the craic! During filming it was amazing heading back to the Sugar Club where we had our first proper show as Kodaline - so great to be back after all these years.”

Kodaline’s Real Guide to Dublin comes ahead of the band hitting the UK later this year for four headlining shows at venues including London’s Brixton O2 Academy. The four-piece are also currently working on new music set to land in early 2018.
The Real Guide video is available to view now at and on the Vevo’s mobile app, with further guides from Tourism Ireland coming soon.
